Know all men by these presents that I Henry Archbould of the parish of St Andrew in the Island aforesaid Esq for the consideration of seven half penny to me in hand paid the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge. I leave ratified confirmed & made good two certain instruments of manumission in writing, given and granted by my late father Henry Archbould of the parish and island aforesaid Esq deceased, duly proved & recorded in the office of enrollments, the one to mulatto Mary bearing date the thirteenth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred & thirty eight and the other to mulatto Henry Morgan bearing date the tenth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred & thirty nine. That is to say should the said manumissions be deemed or rendered really void or of no effect in law by virtue of my said father‘s mortgage to the late Peter Beckford senior Esq deceased bearing date prior to or before the said manumissions and wherein Molly the mother of the said mulattoes is part of the mortgage premises and which said mortgage was assigned over to me whereof I am now possessed. And by these presents do ratify confirm and assure onto the said Mary & Henry Morgan and onto each of them separately and respectively their freedoms forever of and from all and any manner of servitude & slavery whatsoever. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal The twelfth day of November in the year of Our Lord one thousand seven hundred & forty seven

Deed
